Veteran Bollywood Diva Sridevi passes at 54

SrideviBollywood lost its all-time glamorous actress Sridevi who was just 54. Reportedly, her death was due to cardiac arrest in Dubai, where she was attending her nephew Mohit Marwah’s wedding along with her family. Family members have also confirmed that the actress passed away while attending the ceremony. She was accompanied by her husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khusi Kapoor during the wedding ceremony, while elder daughter didn’t attend it due to busy shooting schedule.

Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan, renowned as Sridevi, was born in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu and started acting at the age of four with a role in the Tamil language film, Thunaivan.  She made her Bollywood debut in 1978 with “Solva Sawan”. It was only when after Himmatwala” that she gained commercial success. Her starring role in the 1987 adventure film, Mr. India, earned her superstar status in South Asia. She appeared in above 300 movies and different TV shows. She was awarded the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honor, in 2013. Her latest movie was titled “MOM”, released in 2017.

Have witnessed Sridevi's life from an adolescent teenager to the magnificeint lady she became. Her stardom was well deserved. Many happy moments with her flash through my mind including the last time I met her. Sadma's lullaby haunts me now. We'll miss her
